BUMPER NAP: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the closing bumper on the Thursday Punchestown card with some useful PTP horses making their debut under rules.
A thoroughly good performance from Petit Mouchoir yesterday at Punchestown on his chasing debut and the grey won plenty of admirers with the style of his seven length win. Also, a winning nap for me at 8/13 and the only nerve wracking moment was a slight mistake at the final fence.
The concluding bumper at Punchestown today could well throw up a useful sort and I expect that to be the Gordon Elliott trained Felix Desjy who has already an impressive win to his name. He bolted home by 15 lengths in a PTP on debut at Dromahane in March.
He is preferred to fellow PTP winner Arch Dancer who was another 15 length winner on debut.
Nina Carberry partners Tipp Toe who, although second on his PTP debut, was beaten a distance and the form really has little value compared to the promise and potential shown by his rivals here.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Felix Desjy (5.20 Punchestown)
