HENRY DE BROMHEAD CAN CONTINUE EXCELLENT RUN OF FORM: SHAMROCK expects another winner from Henry De Bromhead at Down Royal this afternoon.
It wasn’t exactly a bad weekend for the Henry de Bromhead stable at Leopardstown on Sunday.
A Grade 1 double with Some Plan (last horse standing) in the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase and then Petit Mouchoir in the Irish Champion Hurdle who looked to have mastered Nichols Canyon before that one came to grief at the last.
Smaller fish to fry today but the stable can continue in a winning vein with Monbeg Chit Chat in the maiden hurdle at Down Royal (2.50pm).
He was a well beaten fifth here over Christmas but ran much better when third to the long odds on Bon Papa at Gowran Park last time out.
He looks more of a percentage call than Rossmore’s Pride who showed ability but (and it’s a big BUT) that came nearly 800 days ago and he has changed stables since.
