MAN TO FOLLOW AT FAIRYHOUSE: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse this afternoon at 2.05pm.
The Very Man was still very much in contention before falling at the last in a much stronger event at Punchestown last time out and can gain compensation in the maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse this afternoon.
He is clearly held in high regard as he has an entry in the Royal Bond and it would be disappointing if he wasn’t able to claim this prize en route to the bigger target back here at Fairyhouse.
It could easily be another Elliott / Mullins battle as Willie Mullins provides the biggest danger in the shape of Unexcepted who makes his debut for the yard having joined from France.
He hasn’t raced for over two years and with many of the yards runners needing a run there is every chance that this won’t be his day.
