WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK started the week with a winning nap on Monday when his only bet of the day Almela won the Listed Oyster Stakes at Galway at 8/11.
An easy win for the nap Almela yesterday who stormed home at Galway to win the Listed Oyster Stakes by four and three quarter lengths.
Galway continues today with a seven race jumps card starting at 4.25pm.
Feature race on the card is the Grade 3 Ballybrit Novice Chase at 6.25pm.
It’s a good early season test for the novices and the race often produces a good quality winner.
Preference is for the Gordon Elliott trained Tocororo who stormed home by 55 lengths (!!!) at Tramore last time out. She had previously run well here at Galway when third to Talk The Lingo on her chasing debut. She gets an age and sex allowance here and might prove hard to beat.
Elliott has a strong hand – also saddling Taglietelle and Tiger Roll but the biggest danger might come from Hurricane Ben who was runner-up to Xsquared here last time out.
