GOWRAN PARK NAP: SHAMROCK’S NAP on Tuesday runs in the fillies maiden at 6.40pm.
The fillies maiden at Gowran Park tonight is definitely worth watching. Even if you are not having a bet there should be all kinds of clues for the future.
It’s stacked high with well bred fillies including Aidan O’Brien’s Quote, a €400,000 daughter of Galileo. O’Brien also saddles Four Leaf Clover who was mid-division on her Leopardstown debut last season but should be seen to better effect now she is stepped up in trip.
Given the way Dermot Weld has started the season, it’s hard to ignore his runners and his representative here Maria Christina finished fourth in the same Leopardstown race as Four Leaf Clover.
The danger to all however might be the Jim Bolger trained Solage, a daughter of Galileo, who shaped so well on her debut at Longchamp when only going down by a neck.
