SHAMROCK TUESDAY: SHAMROCK’S nap on Tuesday runs in the fillies and mares maiden at Gowran Park at 4.05.
Big fields are the order of the day at Gowran on Tuesday where the ground is expected to ride soft to heavy.
It could well be on the heavy side of that come 4.05pm but the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE nap on the card looks to be the Aidan O’Brien trained Flora who has been a friend of the layers so far having gone off favourite at 11/8, 5/4 and 9/4 in all three of her starts but remains a maiden.
She looked unfortunate at the Curragh last time out though when she ran her best race to date when third to Anner Castle and could easily have won but for being carried left towards the finish. With a better rub of the green today and more testing conditions she should get off the mark.
Biggest danger may come from Joseph O’Brien’s Happywifehappylife who chased home a 50/1 winner at Killarney last time out but in doing so proved she could handle testing ground.
