FAUGHEEN THE MACHINE AT KEMPTON: Faugheen is likely to have his next start again in the UK – at Kempton on Boxing Day.
Kempton racegoers should be in for a real treat on Boxing Day. As well as the featured King George Chase, Faugheen is likely to run in the Christmas Hurdle.
Willie Mullins announced that this is the most likely next race for his hugely talented six-year-old who remains unbeaten and was a winner of the Coral Hurdle at Ascot last time out.
Speaking at the Horse Racing Ireland Awards at Leopardstown Mullins said: “JP (McManus) was telling me I should go to the Christmas Hurdle (at Kempton) and I think I’ll take his advice.”
Faugheen is the clear favourite on BETDAQ’s Champion Hurdle market trading around 3.2.
