HAVE HORSES WILL TRAVEL: Look out England, Willie Mullins is increasing his trips across the Irish Sea as he looks to plunder more big races.

Willie Mullins stated his intentions at the start of the campaign to send more of his horses on their travels and has been as good as his word, saddling runners at Aintree, Ascot, Cheltenham, Kempton, Newbury and Warwick this term.

It’s no surprise that Mullins is spreading his wings given the quality and quatity of ammunition at his disposal and short of running multiple entries in Irish big races (which he is more than happy to do) the big weekend UK races are now clearly on his radar.

He has entries at both of the principal Saturday meetings at Ascot and Haydock.

These include Supreme Carolina in both the OLBG.com Mares’ Hurdle and the Keltbray Holloway’s Hurdle.

At Haydock he has entries in two of the feature events.

Marito and Blood Cotil have an option in the Champion Hurdle Trial, while Valseur Lido, Sure Reef and Sizing Tennessee are among the 13 entries for the Supreme Trial Novices’ Hurdle.

There’s no Irish racing on Tuesday.
