SHAMROCK AT GOWRAN PARK: And it looks a case of business as normal for Aidan O’Brien who had the first four winners on the card on Sunday and the first three home in the Irish Derby on Saturday.

Seven races this evening from Gowran Park and the Sweet Sundays Racing & Dining From 22 Handicap at 7.50 looks an interesting event.

It looks set to be fought out between the top two in the weights Chance To Dance and the unbeaten Red Rocks Point.

Aidan O’Brien had a stellar weekend at the Curragh Festival but he didn’t win everything! Jim Bolger’s Chance To Dance was a winner on Friday evening and makes a quick reappearance tonight to contest this race.

Chance To Dance is now on for the hat-trick following wins in the Cork Derby and Friday’s win at the Curragh where he stayed on well to win the 10 furlong race by three quarters of a length from Vastinea. He had already gone up 6lb for his Cork win and is burdened with an extra 5lb tonight for the Curragh success.

Aidan O’Brien’s Red Rocks Point is a lot harder to quantify. He won narrowly on debut at Dundalk and then followed up over course and distance here winning a three runner event for which he started as the outsider.

He did hold an entry for Saturday’s Eclipse at Sandown so is clearly held in high regard. With the stable going so well, and likely improvement from Red Rocks Point, he looks the pick of the principal pair.
