POST HASTE FROM AIDAN: Aidan O’Brien has six of the 13 entries in Saturday’s big race at Doncaster – the Racing Post Trophy.
It’s all SIXtems go for Aidan O’Brien on Saturday with the Ballydoyle maestro having six of the 13 entries as he goes in search of an eighth win in the Group 1 race.
O’Brien failed to score on Champions Day last weekend but tasted success in the Group 1 Dubai Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket on Friday with Together Forever on Future Champions Day.
The Racing Post Trophy looks quite an open renewal this year with Ladbrokes pricing up Elm Park (Andrew Balding) and Royal Navy Ship (O’Brien) as their 5/2 joint favourites.
The latest going report is good, good to soft in places which would be a great deal better than some of the recent renewals of this on heavy ground.
Royal Navy Ship, a son of War Front looked good when winning his debut at the Curragh but it’s hard to be definitive at this stage without seeing the final declarations and jockey bookings.
