BEAT THAT !!! 9/4 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK warmed up for this week’s Punchestown Festival with a fantastic 9/4 winning nap from his ONLY BET on Monday – Urban Beat in the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Naas.
Urban Beat landed the NAP at 9/4 yesterday when hanging on bravely to win the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Naas.
The Punchestown Festival gets underway today with a star-studded card featuring three Grade 1 races.
Willie Mullins has strong claims in all three of the feature races. Min will prove mighty hard to beat in the BS Champion Chase if arriving in the same kind of scintillating form he was in at Aintree.
For the day one NAP though I have to stick with the Willie Mullins trained Klassical Dream in the Herald Champion Novice Hurdle at 4.20pm.
Mullins trains four of the six runners in his attempt to win the race for the fifth time in the last six seasons !!! A word of caution though – it’s not always with the first string as Draconien proved by popping up at 25/1 to win it last year !!
Klassical Dream’s credentials look solid. He’s been a revelation this season since joining the stable from France and was very impressive when winning the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Klassical Dream (4.20 Punchestown)
