Captain Barbossa looks the nap on the Roscommon card tonight for trainer Joseph O’Brien.
He’s very much on a recovery mission having unseated rider over course and distance three weeks ago when sent off the 4/7 favourite.
He came down at the last when squeezed for room and seemingly still holding every chance. He’ll start at a similar price tonight but should get the job done.
There’s not much strength in depth here. Bomber Jackson was second in the race that Captain Barbossa unseated in and has since finished down the field in a flat handicap at Ballinrobe. He looks the biggest danger.
