13/8 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK started the week with a 13/8 winning NAP when Cliffs Of Moher won the Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes at Naas.

A nice start to the week with 13/8 NAP Cliffs Of Moher arriving late on the scene to land the Mooresbridge Stakes at Naas.

Tuesday’s action comes from Roscommon with a mixed card starting at 5.40pm and the going remains heavy.

The opener is very much priced as a match between Burgundy Boy and Future Proof.

Regular readers will know that when the ground is testing I do think experience counts for a lot and Dermot Weld’s Burgundy Boy has plenty more miles on the clock than Future Proof who made a winning debut at Leopardstown.

However, rules are made to be broken (even my own!) and I think Future Proof can follow up. It was heavy ground when he won at Leopardstown and he looks certain to enjoy this longer trip even more.

Whilst Burgundy Boy has more experience, there is less evidence to think he will be as well suited by the ground. He was last of four on his only previous run on heavy – it was a Group 3 so I might be being too harsh but his only career win has come on good to yielding.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Future Proof (5.40 Roscommon)
