2/1 WINNING NAP: Landofhopeandglory gave SHAMROCK a 2/1 WINNING NAP in the Kilbegnet Novice Chase at Roscommon yesterday.
A nice winning nap on Monday at 2/1. Landofhopeandglory came from off the pace to win the Grade 3 Kilbegnet Novice Chase at Roscommon. The jury is still out as to whether he’ll be as good over fences as he was over hurdles but he handled the step-up in class in his stride and his fencing was generally adequate.
Heavy ground at Tipperary this afternoon for their flat card and the best bet looks to be Saracen Knight in the maiden at 3.20pm.
The Aidan O’Brien trained runner was third to stable companion Saxon Warrior at the Curragh on debut and that form received a major boost over the weekend with Saxon Warrior’s win in the Group 2 Juddmonte Beresford Stakes at Naas.
He should prove too strong for stable companion Spanish Point who was sixth on debut at the Curragh and the Dermot Weld trained Harbour Approach who although was second on debut at Listowel – was beaten eight and a half lengths.
