CLONMEL NAP: SHAMROCK’S NAP on Wednesday runs in the opener at Clonmel at 2.00pm.
Oak Park looks a solid first race nap for Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell in the opener at Clonmel this afternoon.
The four-year-old joined the stable from France and made a really pleasing debut when third at Punchestown on New Year’s Eve. He was still travelling well before falling when he went back to Punchestown.
To say he was pitched in at the deep end last time out at Leopardstown would be putting it mildly. He finished fifth to A Wave Of The Sea in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle and will certainly find things much easier at this grade.
Cafe Con Leche is consistent enough but doesn’t seem to be improving although should still find a place in this weak opener.
