CLEAR SKIES AHEAD: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the 7.55pm at Dundalk tonight where two long term maidens go head to head.
Just five runners go to post for the DKIT Students Union Race Night Maiden at Dundalk tonight and the BETDAQ market points towards a head to head between the long term maidens Clear Skies and Vienna Circle.
There’s not much to choose between the pair but the vote goes to Clear Skies who was a course and distance second last week. She is definitely one of the smaller fish in the Aidan O’Brien stable but the same comment can be applied to the chief rival Vienna Circle who is owned by Godolphin.
She was a course and distance third last time out but can often give away ground at the start and in a race of fine margins any such error could cost her dear.
Godolphin/Mick Halford also run the debutant Amuletum who has an interesting pedigree being by New Approach and out of an Australian Group 1 winner.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Clear Skies (7.55 Dundalk)
