GORDON ELLIOTT RAIDING PARTY AT PERTH: No Irish racing today but Irish trainer Gordon Elliott sends a massive raiding party to Perth this afternoon.
No Irish racing until Friday but at Perth this afternoon it simply seems to be a question of how many winners Gordon Elliott will get, rather than ‘if’ he’ll get a winner.
He has runners with strong chances in six of the seven races but may struggle to land the opener with second favourite Pumped Up Kicks as the Nigel Twiston-Davies trained Blaklion looked very progressive in bumpers and looks set to make a winning debut over timber today.
Best of the Eliiott trained runners might be Tico in the concluding stayers handicap hurdle at 5.45pm.
He failed to justify favouritism at Navan last time out but ran as if this longer trip will suit and although not the most prolific winner looks good in this company.
