IRISH RACING RESUMES AT FAIRYHOUSE: The course report an overcast & dry morning with ground remaining soft ahead of today’s meeting.
Unbelievable scenes !!! A novice hurdle with only FOUR runners. Has this ever happened before ? !
Despite the small field for the Fairyhouse opener, it’s actually a cracking contest with it easy to make a case for each of the four – three of whom were winners on their previous starts. The odd one out is Sizing Platinum who was third at Killarney having failed to follow-up his debut success at Clonmel.
He might be worth chancing though here as the soft ground will be in his favour and the firmer surface could easily have been the reason for failure at Killarney.
In the maiden hurdle at 1.55 Kick On Boss stands out like a beacon. He had good form in two bumpers last season winning on debut at Gowran and then finishing second to the useful Outlander at Naas.
