LABURNUM TO HURRY HOME: SHAMROCK’S NAP runs in the Listed Hurry Harriet Stakes at Gowran Park this afternoon.

It looks a match between the Aidan O’Brien trained pair Laburnum and Ennistymon who are both closely matched both in the market and on official ratings.
Seamie Heffernan has presumably had the choice and hopefully he has chosen right with Laburnum who might just have the greater scope for improvement. She made a winning debut here over seven furlongs and then was immediately raised in class for her close second to Even So in the Naas Oaks Trial and then finishing fourth to the same rival in the Juddmonte Irish Oaks at the Curragh.
Ennistymon finished eighth in that race – after running a very flat race for whatever reason – the vet later reported the animal to be post race normal.
If anything, the drop back in trip should favour Laburnum more.
