11/8 WINNING NAP: SHAMROCK rounded off the pre-Christmas break with an 11/8 winning NAP. Now for St Stephen’s Day and Leopardstown.
Grand Mogul WON 11/8 gave us a nice winning nap before the Christmas break when winning the closing bumper at Thurles in good fashion on Saturday.
The eagerly awaited Christmas Festival gets underway at Leopardstown today and we really are in for a feast of high quality action over the coming days.
The day one highlight is the Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase at 2.20pm. The race has been a stepping stone for plenty of future champions and Willie Mullins has won five of the last seven renewals.
He’s represented by Voix Du Reve who has impressed in both his starts over the larger obstacles and is already looking as though he will shape into a better chaser than he was a hurdler.
However, he has a tough nut to crack here with Mengli Khan who impressed on his chasing debut at Punchestown and was the best of these as a hurdler.
