SHAMROCK LANDS 6/4 WINNING NAP FROM ONLY BET ON TUESDAY: SHAMROCK saved the best until last on Tuesday when his NAP in the final race RALLY WON 6/4. Only other bet on the day was a NR.
And there was me saying how tough the racing looked at Roscommon on Tuesday with massive field sizes across eight races.
In the end there were SIX winning favourites (one a joint) on the card and thankfully they included my NAP Rally who won the finale at 6/4. He looked to be coming under pressure on the turn for home but responded and won well in the end. The only other bet, SHAMAR, was a non runner.
There are much smaller fields tonight at Naas and just four go to post for the opener.
I’m not sure the odds are the right way around in the closing Tipper Road Race at 9pm.
The BETDAQ market is favouring the Willie Mullins trained Levanto who scraped home to win a Curragh handicap last time out but I think it’s The Vatican for Aidan O’Brien who has the most potential.
He improved on his Leopardstown debut (3rd of 5) to win a Curragh maiden in good style last time and can improve again to land this. He won with a visor on last time but tonight blinkers are the chosen accessory.
