PUNCHESTOWN NAP ON WEDNESDAY: SHAMROCK heads to Punchestown on Wednesday for a nap in the Go Racing In Kildare 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle at 2.45pm.
A really disappointing effort from the nap yesterday. Sorry for that.
We head to Punchestown for some jumping today.
It’s not often firm and Punchestown are used in the same sentence but that was the case today for their card which was due to be on good to firm ground.
However, the rain has arrived and the course has tweeted: “Official going now Good. 15mm rain since 8am (20mm total). Rain to clear shortly. Some showers this afternoon.”
Best bet on the card looks to be Clarcam in the 2.45. He ran an excellent race when second on debut at Ballinrobe behind the Willie Mullins trained favourite Noble Inn and the finished 18 lengths clear of the third.
