JUMPING AT SLIGO: Irish racing resumes with a jumps card at Sligo tonight and SHAMROCK’s nap runs in the 6.10.
Zabana very much sets the standard in the 6.10 at Sligo this evening.
A winner at Tramore over the flat, he went on to make his debut over hurdles at Limerick and finished an excellent third (beaten 5 1/4 lengths) behind the favourite Band Of Blood.
That was on yielding ground and we have to take it on trust a little that he will be equally as effective on the forecast heavy ground this evening.
King William makes his hurdling debut after showing promise in bumpers and does have bumper form on heavy ground so rates the danger.
The Willie Mullins trained pair On His Own (faller in the Grand National) and Twigline (top and bottom on the racecard) should fight out the finish of the 7.40.
I take the opposite view of the BETDAQ market here and prefer Twigline on this occasion on the basis mainly of the trip proving more suitable.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Zabana (6.10 Sligo)
NEXT BEST: Twigline (7.40 Sligo)
