Taghrooda ran out an impressive winner of today’s Epsom Oaks for Hamdan Al Maktoum and trainer John Gosden as they collected the third English Classic of the season.
Ridden by Paul Hanagan, the pair hit the front just over a furlong out and was never headed subsequently and ran out easy winners by just under four lengths from the Dermot Weld trained Tarfasha.
In winning the Oaks, John Gosden has set himself up for a Classic Double as he trains Western Hymn in tomorrow’s Blue Ribband at Epsom.
If Western Hymn is successful for John Gosden in the Derby, Betdaq will be giving Commission back to customers on the Oaks and the Derby.
Western Hymn was the impressive winner of the Group 3 Sandown Classic Trial and is unbeaten in three runs to date. He is currently trading at 17.0 on Betdaq.
