As Mother Nature does her very worst to mess up as many sporting fixtures as she can I wake up to the news that the excellent card at Newbury on Saturday has become the latest casualty đ
Last week was âinterestingâ, with my biggest bet on England to beat Scotland in the Six nations Rugby an edge of the seat encounter that I realty felt was going to go badly wrong until England fell over the line to a deep sigh form yours truly and the imaginary sound of cash hitting my BETDAQÂ account big time again after what seems like a while? In my world though, not everything goes according to plan and why Bolton failed to even look as if they were the same team that drew with Arsenal and beat Swansea and Liverpool. At no time did my BETDAQÂ odds of 3.3 that I stole look like value and I was bitterly disappointed but not as much as their fans must have been with what I felt was a pretty poor performance. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and as the final scores came though I was still trying to work out how I had failed to call Birmingham v Southampton as a draw, but home victory was the one I went for and I wasnât the only one as the BETDAQÂ odds came in to 2.1 at one stage, not that it matters now. Deciding I may have made a mistake I sat watching my BETDAQÂ screen and using an external site for up to the moment scores, I decided to get out at any price if Birmingham scored first but all I ended up with was a headache and a loss as the game petered out in to a 0-0 draw and my stake money was quietly waved goodbye.
For novelty value I am thinking about a golf bet this week as someone who knows a lot more about the sport than me suggested a little each way on Ricky Barnes at 126 or thereabouts with BETDAQÂ in the A T & T Pebble Beach where Tiger Woods is, for me, an opposable favourite with his very well documented troubles both on and off the course. My selection is one of those players who steps up to the plate in the bigger tournaments without being a âhousehold nameâ hence his silly price and with all the hype surrounding the Tiger, he may have slipped in under the radar for a place at a massive price.
Lastly, I can never resist a little punt on the football (or soccer for our American readers), though it looks like it could be a tricky week. Manchester United versus Liverpool will be the one with all he liquidity in the market and I will be backing the home team to win and getting out with a profit if they go a goal up as I confidently expect them to (if I remember or if I have a good signal on my I-Phone or I-Pad). Finally, with Birmingham now flat out for automatic promotion and closing in on the top two, an away win at Barnsley must be very much on the cards. The home team have already lost six of their home games so are clearly vulnerable and while I admit Brumâs away record needs to improve, they are riding the crest of a wave and the BETDAQÂ odds of 2.1 are enough to tempt me this weekend.
This weekâs suggested bets (odds correct at the time of writing):

1pt Win 1pt Place RICKY BARNES (BETDAQ 126.0 to Win 25.4 to place), A T & T Pebble Beach
