MATCH OVERVIEW:

It’s pressure time at the Hundred on Betdaq Betting Exchange this weekend! All the focus turns to London for the playoffs, with Northern Superchargers meeting Trent Rockets at The Oval on Saturday before the winner meets Oval Invincibles in the Final at Lord’s on Sunday. It was a big season for the ECB after selling 49% of the franchises, and they will be very pleased with the quality of the tournament. Now, they just need a big entertaining finish. We should have a high quality game here; the top three this season were a distance ahead of the rest.

That has prompted a big discussion around the 2026 reset with the squads. It’s quite obvious that some squads have far more quality than others. Obviously this was always going to happen after the arrival of new investors – for example London Spirit went for a big price tag because of their location rather than their performance level! Teams were allowed to retain up to ten players this season, but that’s finished now. Most of the new owners are pushing for an auction IPL style rather than the draft now, the reality is the regulations have yet to be finalised. We also have the new thing of players signing with owners who have a stake in multiple sides around the world.

This should be a cracking game. Trent Rockets came out on top when the sides met early on in the tournament when Northern Superchargers could only manage 124/9. There hasn’t been much between the sides – Trent Rockets have only lost twice all season with Northern Superchargers only losing once more. This one is going to go right down to the wire in my opinion.

WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:

There is some rain forecast for London on Saturday evening which could have a huge impact on the game. This is definitely a game that you need to keep an eye on the radar; looking at the long-range radar there are some big blobs of rain in-between some windows. Tournament wise, because Trent Rockets finished second they will go into the Final should we not get a full game in. I think you definitely have to chase if you win the toss as it looks unlikely that we’ll get a full game in here anyway.

RECOMMENDED BET:

It’s no surprise that we have an exceptionally even market. Obviously the forecast will have an impact on the game; in that regard we’ll just have to wait and see what the radar is like come game time. However, there’s very little between the sides on paper either. I’m keen to keep stakes low here before the toss and before confirmation of the weather too. I marginally prefer Trent Rockets though at 1.97 – in my opinion they have marginally better bowling compared to Northern Superchargers and that can be the difference.

The Edge Says:
One point win Trent Rockets to beat Northern Superchargers at 1.97 with Betdaq Exchange

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:

When you look at this game on paper, you do feel that it’ll be very close and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the market bounce around a lot in-play. The weather only adds to that situation to be honest, but it could work out that conditions massive favour one side based on when rain arrives. The best advice you can get here is to not get married to any position, especially early on, and definitely keep an eye on that radar!
