MATCH OVERVIEW:
The big games keep coming from the IPL on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We have a cracking double header to enjoy on Sunday – we start the day with Delhi Capitals taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad, but my focus is on what should be the highlight of the day as Rajasthan Royals host Chennai Super Kings. It’s still so early in the IPL this year, but this is already becoming a massive game for Rajasthan Royals who have started with two losses. That leaves them bottom of the table, and in these franchise leagues you need a fast start or things can go south quickly with morale.
The IPL is an exceptionally long tournament compared to the other T20 franchises, but even so, Rajasthan need something good to happen. It will be very interesting to see how CSK perform in their first away game too; they were well beaten by RCB on Friday after winning their opening game. They won the toss and opted to bowl, but their bowlers didn’t go well and conceded close to 200; that’s a big score by Chennai standards. I know we were on RCB for the win there so my opinion hasn’t really changed; the jury is still massively out on the CSK batting this season. They didn’t raise a challenge in the chase either.
Rajasthan have suffered two heavy defeats now; the bowlers went for 286/6 in the opening game which is never nice! Then the batters failed against KKR; once again that was knocked off quite quickly. This is a fascinating game to be honest; it’s hard to have confidence in the CSK batting and the Rajasthan bowling!
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
We’re back at Guwahati, and this will be the second and final game here. It’s nice that the IPL have moved to some out grounds – they’ve done the same with Delhi’s early home games too. As I said above, Rajasthan could only manage 151/9 here in the opening game which looked a low score, and KKR chased it very easily – they won by eight wickets with 15 balls to spare. A par score looks to be at least over 180 judging off the opening game here; it’s an interesting decision at the toss too. I would bowl first, and I feel whoever wins will elect to do that.
RECOMMENDED BET:
It’s easy to pick holes in both sides here. As I said above, the CSK batting looks a little weak this season and the Rajasthan bowling looks poor too. I do feel whoever wins that clash will likely win the game – while the CSK batting does look a little weak, they have the talent to get the job done against some weak bowling in my opinion. I’m definitely keen to keep stakes low on this one given the concerns about both sides, but I’m happy to take the 1.85 on CSK. Rajasthan could be in for a long season.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
I would go into this game with an open mind on scoring. We don’t have much ground data here anyway. I do feel this is definitely a game for low stakes for the reasons outlined above; on balance my opinion is the Rajasthan bowling is the weak link, so I expect to see most market movement when CSK bat – once again keen to keep stakes low because obviously there are worries with that batting line-up too.
