MATCH OVERVIEW:
This is a fascinating semi-final. Both sides will clearly have an eye on the other semi-final earlier in the day and how dearly they would love Jamaica to beat Trinbago so they have a better chance in the final! Not many punters gave the Zouks a chance at the start of the competition but they have proven a lot of people wrong. Their batting has gelled well and they have played some good cricket. Their bowling is still a weak link and with the night games being difficult for batting this could be their weakness.
The Zouks have managed a win over Guyana from earlier in the tournament, but Guyana blew them away last week. They kept the Zouks down to 109/7 before chasing it down in just 13.5 overs. Talk about comprehensive defeat. Guyana played all their fixture before the weekend, so they have had a longer gap leading into the Playoffs. Whether or not that’s a positive, we’ll just have to wait and see.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
It’s going to be tricky to call conditions right here before the off. Batting definitely seemed easier in the second game at the weekend, however these games started a couple of hours earlier than usual with it being a weekend. In general it has been a nightmare to bat at night here and with this game going back to the usual midweek starting time we could see very difficult batting conditions again. 145/6 couldn’t get chased down on Sunday night, and you would assume 145 runs would be a very good score with this game starting even later.
RECOMMENDED BET:
Guyana have come into form just at the right time, and they are peaking for the Playoffs. At the start of the tournament it was obvious that they weren’t as strong as last season although they have been pretty impressive towards the end. They blew the Zouks away recently and while the Zouks started the tournament well and had a decent middle, they have had some poor performances lately. Although they did beat Jamaica well at the weekend.
It’s the Guyana bowling that wins this game for me though, and with their batting improving towards the end of the tournament they are worth backing at 1.61. You have to go back four games to see Guyana concede more than 110, and when they did – they chased 150 easily. The Zouks have been good, but this is where their run ends.
The Edge Says:
Two points win Guyana Amazon Warriors to beat St Lucia Zouks at 1.61 with BETDAQ Exchange.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
The Guyana bowling has been absolutely excellent in recent games, and although batting is The Zouks strong point I would still want to be on the Guyana bowling given batting conditions have been very tough in the late games. Batting was a little easier at the weekend, but I think we’ll see tough batting conditions and runs hard to come by again tonight.
Guyana haven’t been amazing with the bat, so I wouldn’t be heavy on them while batting. However this is countered by the Zouks being weaker bowling than batting, so perhaps you can get away with a quick few trades on Guyana while batting. Over all I’d be keen to look for trades on the bowling side rather than batting – and we’ve seen some collapses in the first innings too so backing the bowling side first up has proven profitable.
