INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE: Our cricket tipster The Edge previews Tuesday’s IPL game between Sunrisers Hyderabad v Delhi Capitals with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

MATCH OVERVIEW:
The Indian Premier League moves back to Dubai on Tuesday after an incredible weekend here! On Saturday, Kings XI Punjab successfully defended 126/7 against Sunrisers Hyderabad and we had in-running carnage on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, while on Sunday CSK beat RCB by eight wickets. What will happen today? Both sides are looking to bounce back from heavy defeats at the weekend, and time is running out for Hyderabad if they want to make the Playoffs.
Hyderabad have gone right down the table into second last, joint on points with last played CSK. Things are tight though and they won’t have given up considering they are only four points away from fourth, but they need to win every game and other results to go in their favour. They will be kicking themselves having failed to chase 126/7 against Punjab who have been the big table movers since Chris Gayle arrive. But in fairness, Hyderabad haven’t fired with the bat this tournament. They have batted too slowly.
Delhi suffered a shock at the weekend too however. They conceded 194/6 to KKR at Abu Dhabi. That was a big shock, considering the Delhi bowling has looked excellent and also I felt we wouldn’t see 190+ at Abu Dhabi again. Narine just fired for KKR, and Delhi have a great chance to get back to winning ways here.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
The first inning scores from the weekend here read; 126/7 and 145/6. On Thursday Rajasthan could only manage 154/6 and that was chased by Hyderabad. It’s clear that the wicket is slowly down, but it seems to me like teams are aiming too high in the first innings and then falling short. From the way the sides chased it looks like around 170 is still par, with the key being to keep wickets in hand and launch in the mid to latter stage of the innings. Once again, we’re set fair with the weather.
RECOMMENDED BET:
Hyderabad have been slightly unlucky in the tournament to date. They’ve suffered from injuries and the loss against KKR in a Super Over was massive in terms of the table. They have played average cricket at times though, and apart from beating Rajasthan easily lately they haven’t impressed me. Apart from that innings from Narine the other day, Delhi have been pretty much on the money. They have been outclassed by the likes of Mumbai, but they have been playing rock solid cricket. Their bowling should be too much for this Hyderabad batting line-up.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
As I said above, teams have been aiming too high in the first innings here recently and then falling short. I would be very cautious before getting on the team batting first to begin with, however if you see them keeping wickets in hand and going along nicely then the sweet spot has been getting on them with eight to five overs to go.
Delhi have a very strong batting line-up, however while Dhawan was slow to start the tournament he is on fire now. However, he has lacked support in recent games from the openers and that could be an angle from a trading point of view. Stoinis has also fallen off a little, so perhaps you could find some nice trades against Delhi once Dhawan is out. I would be keen to support the Delhi bowling however against this Hyderabad batting; once Bairstow has gone because he is dangerous.
