PREMIER LEAGUE: The Striker previews FULHAM v BRENTFORD with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
FULHAM V BRENTFORD
8pm We have Monday Night Football to enjoy from the Premier League on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week as Fulham host Brentford. While this isn’t the most glamorous fixture, the Sky Sports panel will have plenty to get stuck into; Manchester United’s new manager along with Arsenal and Manchester City both losing on Saturday. We have an interesting betting heat here too; Fulham are the favourites at 2.08 with Brentford 3.75 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing.
Obviously we had a lot of drama at the top of the table at the weekend, these two come into this game sitting right beside each other in mid-table. There’s only a point between them, and to be honest you wouldn’t be surprised to see them actually finish in or around that 12th spot where they are now. Not only are they right beside each other on points, they are right beside each other on xG figures too. Fulham have an average xG created of 1.44 and Brentford are just behind them on 1.43 – they are sitting in the exact same place in the table too so they can’t complain about their placings.
Where the difference between the sides lie, and it is a huge difference, is at the back. Fulham are creating more chances than they are conceding as their average xG conceded is only 1.34. That’s a respectable figure – the higher end of mid-table. Brentford have major issues at the back, and their average xG conceded is as high as 1.85. That’s the second worst defensive figure in the Premier League, only Leicester have conceded more chances this season. Obviously conceding that volume of chances is always going to be very difficult – why they are sitting in mid-table is because they are massively over-performing up front.
They are scoring and conceding an average of two goals per game. That’s fine now, but based on their performance levels there’s a good chance that level of conceded goals will continue but their goals scored will decrease. Fulham have a lot more of a solid look to them, and if I was having a bet in the match odds market it would definitely be Fulham at 2.08. This game screams goals to me though; Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.67 with Both Teams To Score at 1.6. Brentford games have been very entertaining this season – seven of their nine games have had Over 2.5 goals, while eight of their nine have had Both Teams To Score collect. Fulham have had Both Teams To Score in seven of their nine games, and in what should be an open game that looks a great option at 1.6.
The Striker Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
