LEICESTER V CRYSTAL PALACE

8pm The Premier League games just keep coming and Monday Night Football comes from the King Power Stadium as Leicester host Crystal Palace. It’s been an extremely busy week or so with a Premier League game on every day but this will be the last fixture before a little break for the Champions League and Europa League midweek. It’s a massive fixture for Leicester too as they look to lock in a spot in the Top Four.

Despite not playing, it was a good weekend for Leicester! West Ham and Chelsea played each other so one, or both, were always going to drop points and then Liverpool could only manage a draw with Newcastle. That leaves Leicester in third one point ahead of Chelsea with a game in hand, and four points ahead of West Ham and five ahead of Liverpool also with a game in hand. It’s fair to say if they win here they can’t slip out of the Top Four on the Final day this season. Indeed, Leicester will play again on Friday before the others play so they could really have an excellent week.

Crystal Palace haven’t played since the 10th of April which feels like a lifetime ago. Indeed, nobody was even talking about the European Super League then and now it’s been and gone already! It’s hard to know what to expect from Palace after that gap, as they had been playing poor football prior to that. They have had a lot of time to work of things though and sometimes you can see an improvement or change in mindset from teams. In ordinary non Covid19 times, they might have even gone on a holiday training camp.

Leicester have been playing great football this season and I’m happy to back them at 1.49 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. I would have them closer to 1.4 to beat this very average Palace side who simply give away too many chances. Looking at the xG figures Leicester are in great form going forward, and that can only be a good thing against a Palace side who concede figures like 3.37, 2.83 and 2.33 in their recent games. I’m also happy to keep stakes reasonably small with the little break Palace had to work on certain areas of their game, but Leicester should really win this and lock in that Top Four spot.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Leicester to beat Crystal Palace at 1.49 with BETDAQ Betting Exchange
