LEICESTER V NEWCASTLE

8pm We have Monday Night Football to enjoy from the Premier League to enjoy this week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! Leicester host Newcastle with both clubs heading in different directions. Leicester have been nailed on to get relegated for a while now, and morale must be at an all-time low at the club after seven straight Premier League defeats. They are creating new club records too that no one wants; they haven’t scored in those seven games. Indeed, they’ve only scored in one Premier League game from their last ten; that was a 2-1 win away to Spurs when everyone was beating Spurs at the time. Leicester have lost 14 of their last 15 Premier League games which is quite the run.

It’s clear that Leicester aren’t Premier League quality. Yet again this season the three promoted sides are going back down; it’s clear the gulf in class is almost too big to bridge now with the money in the top flight. But another problem is that the promoted sides come up and try to play open and attacking football, when really they should be playing like a Sam Allardyce side to just stay up. Newcastle will be viewing this game as an absolutely must win game given their situation – they are in the mix for a Top Four finish and from that point of view they just cannot afford to drop points against a side like Leicester.

As you would expect, Newcastle come into the game as the odds on favourites. Newcastle are trading 1.52 with Leicester 7.4 and the draw is 4.7 at the time of writing. The stats make for pretty grim reading for Leicester; there really aren’t many positives. They have the worst attacking figure this season; even Southampton are now marginally creating more – that’s obviously reflected in their run without a goal for so long. They’ve also been poor at the back; they have the third worst defensive figure. Not only that, but they’ve been sloppy at the back as well – they are conceding over their average xG conceded figure – only Southampton have conceded more goals this season.

It’s hard to see past the Newcastle win here. They are obviously in a great place at the moment – a Carabao Cup win will obviously be the highlight of their season and the parade reflected that. Back-to-back Premier League wins and a win in February against Nottingham Forest leaves them with a decent chance at a Top Four finish too – if they miss that they’ll have the Europa League. I feel the question here is how many goals can Newcastle score – they are a tempting bet at 1.52 but they are trading 2.42 -1.5 goals which is also looks cracking value. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet, but I’m going to opt for the handicap option.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Newcastle -1.5 goals to beat Leicester at 2.42 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
