MANCHESTER UNITED V EVERTON

8pm We start another fantastic week on Betdaq Betting Exchange with Monday Night Football from the Premier League! We have a cracker to enjoy too from Old Trafford as Manchester United host Everton. Another return to Old Trafford for David Moyes; a lot of water has gone under the bridge since he took over from Sir Alex Ferguson! For the first time under Ruben Amorim, it looked like things were starting to click for United – the International Break probably came at a bad time for them.

Not that all the early International Breaks are out of the way, this is the perfect time for sides to build momentum and frame their season until the next International Break in March. Manchester United are at a little bit of an advantage in the sense that they have no European commitments this season so they get the whole week to prepare for games. They are already out of the League Cup as well; I know a lot of pundits say United have an excellent chance at the Top Four and you feel they are definitely jumping the gun, but they do have a very good platform this season to succeed.

The under-lining numbers are very positive from a United point of view too. They are in the top five on attacking figures. The big negative is that they have been very sloppy at the back, conceding far more goals than they should – the aim for Amorim in the short term should be trying to fix that. Everton only have an average xG created of 1.29 this season which is a very average mid-table figure; it’ll be interesting to see how United deal with them. It’s no surprise to see United come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.8 with Everton 4.8 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing.

I have to say, I was expecting United to be trading a little lower than 1.8 when I clicked into the market. Obviously I’m not getting carried away with their recent results – disaster never seems far away with this United side so I’m happy to keep stakes low – but the 1.8 feels too big. Everton have been a much better side with home advantage since David Moyes returned. I know they have moved stadiums but that trend has almost stayed the same – away from home their average xG created is under 1.0 and they concede far more chances too. They’ve only won once away from home this season in the Premier League, and that was against Wolves who are nailed to the bottom of the table. I’m not going to go crazy with the stakes here, but the 1.8 on United feels too big to ignore.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Manchester United to beat Everton at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
