5.30pm After another dramatic weekend in the Premier League, we have two nice fixtures for Monday Night Football! We start with Brighton hosting West Brom. This might not be the most high quality game, but it’s a massive fixture for both sides. Brighton won’t like me saying this, but it’s highly likely both sides will be fighting to stay up towards the end of the season. West Brom especially look to be struggling, and Brighton will see this as a great chance to claim three points.
West Brom managed their second draw in five games last weekend with a 0-0 against Burnley, but other than their remarkable 3-3 against Chelsea when they benefitted from some massive Chelsea errors they have been very poor. Brighton have played some good football at times, and they were very unlucky to lose against Manchester United. They did enough to beat Palace last weekend, but had to settle for a draw. There might not be much between these sides in the league early on, but the underlining xG numbers say Brighton win. They are playing much better football than West Brom, and they make a lot of appeal at 1.77.

BURNLEY V TOTTENHAM

They have been playing some good football and creating a lot of chances. They still have their flaws at the back, but at least Jose has them in excellent form going forward. They meet an out of form Burnley side here, and it’s a great time to back Spurs. Burnley started the weekend in the bottom three with four losses and one draw. The draw came against the poor West Brom, and they have been pretty poor. They only managed xG numbers of 0.43, 0.49 and 1.43 against Newcastle, Southampton and Leicester. With Spurs scoring plenty of goals and creating chances, they will outscore Burnley and win.
