WEST HAM V BRENTFORD

8pm We have Monday Night Football from the Premier League this week on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, and it’s a very interesting market as West Ham host Brentford. West Ham come into the game as the favourites with home advantage, but they’ve been on a poor run lately and there are some big red flags in their performance figures. West Ham are trading 2.54 with Brentford 2.9 and the draw is 3.6 at the time of writing. What makes this game very interesting is Brentford have had a lot of issues this season too; no wonder we have such an open market.

David Moyes went toe-to-toe recently in the media saying that West Ham fans shouldn’t be moaning – he has oversaw their most successful period as a club. He is right, however he is acknowledge that he’s also probably the most boring manager. I suppose what do the fans want from here; they have battled for a Top Four spot despite being expected to come up short, got into Europe and actually won a major trophy in the Europa Conference League. Now they sit in midtable in the Premier League and perhaps that’s just not really a good buzz. They are in the Europa League Last 16 though, and they will be fancied to come through that tie against Freiburg whom they met in the group stage too.

West Ham have been one of the most over-performing sides in the Premier League this season though. If their fans aren’t happy at the moment; things could be a lot worst. Their average xG created is only 1.12 which is the fourth worst attacking figure in the Premier League, while their average xG conceded is a whopping 1.79 – only Sheffield United have conceded more chances at the back. What has West Ham in midtable is they have been scoring a lot more goals than they should, but eventually you stop scoring from awkward angles because that’s just probability. Fans of xG have probably been waiting for this run. I said when Moyes was offered a new contract that he couldn’t sign it quick enough given the performance figures!

While there has to be major worries for West Ham. Brentford have some serious issues too. Their average xG conceded is 1.66 and that’s the fourth worst defensive figure in the Premier League. They aren’t too far away from a relegation battle either, they started this matchday only five points away from the relegation zone. They are definitely outsiders in that battle, but they are too close for comfort at the moment. It’s not a surprise we have an open market here as we have two sides that are hard to trust and poor at the back. I feel this game screams goals given all the mistakes we’ve had from these two, and Over 2.5 goals jumps off the page at 1.79. This could be a very entertaining end-to-end game with plenty of chances and goals.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
