WOLVES V MANCHESTER UNITED

8pm It’s the start of another massive week of football on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We have Monday Night Football from the Premier League to enjoy before the Champions League and Europa League return this week. We have a fascinating game to start the week too as Manchester United travel to take on Wolves. This is another game that United should be winning on paper, but as we have seen over the past few days – those are the exact type of fixtures United are struggling to get over the line in!

A very disappointing loss at Old Trafford to ten men Everton, was added to on Thursday night with a 1-1 draw against West Ham, again at Old Trafford. In between, they went to Crystal Palace and won that game as outsiders in the betting! It’s a case of classic Manchester United – you just never know what you’re going to get from them these days. There is obviously consent debate around the system Ruben Amorim employs, but there is a pattern forming in the sense that it seems to work best when sides press them. When sides sit back, that’s when United really struggle and fail to win games they “should.”

Wolves have really struggled this season – they are the only side yet to win a Premier League game this season. They are nailed to the bottom of the table with just two draws from their 14 games – wouldn’t it be classic Manchester United to gift them their first win of the season? Given how poor Wolves have been, it’s no surprise that United come into the game as the odds on favourites. Ruben Amorim’s men are trading 1.78 with Wolves 4.7 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing. Despite all the woes United have had at times this season, that 1.78 does feel a little big in my opinion.

Obviously backing Manchester United these days has to come with a wealth warning, but their performance levels have been as high as ever recently. They have the third best attacking figure in the Premier League coming into this matchday, and their average xG conceded is reasonably OK too – mid-table level. The issues for United are that they haven’t been fully taking their chances and they’ve also conceded more goals than they should have. Of course, a mistake is never far away with this United squad.

Wolves are there for the taking though. They have the second worst attacking figure with an average xG created of only 1.08. They haven’t even been able to convert half of those chances, seven goals from 14 games is a woeful return really and you can see why morale is so low in the camp. It’s going to be a long season! I can’t see past United here to be honest, and the 1.78 is too big to ignore. However, I’m also keen to keep stakes reasonably limited because you can be never quite sure what type of performance you get from this United side!

The Striker Says:
Two points win Manchester United to beat Wolves at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
