WOLVES v NOTTINGHAM FOREST

8pm We have Monday Night Football from the Premier League on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week, and while it might not be the most glamorous fixture, we do have a very interesting market. Wolves host Nottingham Forest with both sides having very different seasons. For the time being, Nottingham Forest are in the Top Four battle and Wolves are in the relegation battle! As the season goes on, you’d expect Forest to fall out of the Top Four – it’s hard to see City missing out on that even with their issues – and you’d also expect Wolves to just about avoid relegation.

Wolves are under immense pressure though. They are somewhat lucky that the three sides promoted from the Championship this season lack so much quality. Wolves do have the fourth worst attacking figure with only the bottom three below them – there is a little difference though. Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester all have an average xG created between 1.04 and 1.07, while Wolves have a figure of 1.2. They had to hit the panic button when sacking the manager, especially given what went on after losses with players fighting. That has brought some good results – a win over Leicester away from home was massive, the confidence boosting win over Manchester United and then the draw with Spurs.

The only thing you’d say about those results is Manchester United and Spurs have been going through very difficult times – getting results against those clubs hasn’t been difficult this season. You’d say that Forest have been much better this season just looking at the table, but United and Spurs actually have better attacking figure but Forest have been the sides getting results. Forest have been getting away with things at the back; their average xG conceded is 1.46 but their actual goals conceded average is only 1.0. Eventually sides will start taking their chances against them.

Nottingham Forest come into the game as the favourites at 2.34 with Wolves 3.5 and the draw is 3.4 at the time of writing. There really aren’t that many positives with Wolves this season, but you do have to take note of that difference in results since the change in management. That coupled with the fact that Forest have been getting away with things makes me feel that the 2.34 is too short on Forest here. They have been grinding out so many results this season that you have to give them massive credit so I’m going to keep stakes small but from a value point of view I’m happy with a small Wolves lay.

The Striker Says:
One point lay (liability) Nottingham Forest to beat Wolves at 2.34 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
