PREMIER LEAGUE: The Striker previews WOLVES v ARSENAL and MANCHESTER CITY v CHELSEA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
WOLVES V ARSENAL
3pm Another massive Saturday from the Premier League arrives on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! There’s no doubt that Manchester City v Chelsea will grab all the headlines, but we have a hectic afternoon with five games kicking off at 3pm. We have no 12-30pm kick off this Saturday, we have an additional fixture at 7pm on Sunday this weekend. The most interesting 3pm fixture in my opinion is Wolves hosting Arsenal – Liverpool are also in action but they are fully expected to win at home to Ipswich; they are trading as short as 1.12! Arsenal are the second shortest price of the day – they are trading 1.51 here with Wolves 7.6 and the draw is 4.7 at the time of writing. Arsenal dropped more points last weekend with a 2-2 draw at home to Aston Villa – more problems brought upon themselves to be honest given they lead 2-0. Anything bar a win for Arsenal will see a hugely negative reaction from the fanbase, and Arteta is already under pressure from the UK media. Wolves have been really struggling this season, and they come into this weekend level on points with Ipswich who sit in that 17th spot.
Wolves have played some very poor football this season. Their average xG created is only 1.24 which is the fourth worst attacking figure in the Premier League – the only clubs below them are the current bottom three, so you could say that they have been “lucky” with the gulf in class between the current Premier League clubs and the Championship/promoted clubs at the moment. This season is once again highlighting how hard it is to stay up. Arteta have been criticised this season for being negative – Arsenal now have the best defensive figure in the Premier League after being quite sloppy at the back earlier in the season. That’s why I felt he went a bit negative – he has definitely fixed the issues at the back, but their attacking figure is definitely lacking this season compared to last. Wolves have been so poor, I wouldn’t put anyone off Arsenal at 1.51 looking at how the sides are playing, but I like Both Teams Not To Score here at 1.95. Arsenal can keep a clean sheet on the way to winning against a very limited Wolves side.

MANCHESTER CITY V CHELSEA
5.30pm We finish Saturday with the highlight of the weekend as Manchester City host Chelsea. With both sides fluffing their lines in their title bid this season, this is a massive game in the Top Four race rather than the title – although in fairness the Chelsea title bid didn’t last long. It felt like the minute they were getting closer to Liverpool they went on that poor run. Obviously Nottingham Forest sit above both clubs in third coming into this matchday, but both clubs will be expecting to jump over Forest by the end of the season. City had a huge game midweek against PSG in the Champions League, and their poor run domestically spilled over in the Champions League so they are in a very poor position there. Another loss away to PSG on Wednesday leaves them sitting in 25th with the top 24 going through. They play Club Brugge next week at home in a game they should win, but they still need other results to go their way now. Yet again they found themselves two goals ahead and in control but couldn’t finish the job – I know I’ve said before, but we’re seeing things we’re just not used to see from City this season.
As you would expect, City come into the game as favourites at 2.06 with Chelsea 3.55 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. Both sides have obviously had their issues recently – Chelsea’s title bid blew up on a run of five games without a win against Everton, Fulham, Ipswich, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth – hardly the most difficult fixture list! It’s hard to have a massive amount of faith in either side here; you can easily make the case against either side so I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market. I do feel this game screams goals, and Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.46 so the market is clearly expecting an entertaining game here. Both Teams To Score is the same price, and I’m happy to take a position on Over 3.5 goals at 2.12. That’s landed in Chelsea’s last two Premier League games, and it has been quite easy to play through City this season – we should see plenty of goals in an open and entertaining game!
