PREMIER LEAGUE: The Striker previews EVERTON v MANCHESTER UNITED, ARSENAL v WEST HAM and ASTON VILLA v CHELSEA all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
EVERTON V MANCHESTER UNITED
12.30pm It’s another excellent Saturday from the Premier League on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! There’s no doubt that the highlight of the weekend will be Manchester City hosting Liverpool on Super Sunday, but we also have a cracking day on Saturday. We kick off the action with Everton hosting Manchester United – David Moyes meets his old club and ironically his side comes into the game as the favourites. It’s a sign of the times for Manchester United – so much has happened since David Moyes was at the club, but you have to ask yourself; are they in a better position since he left? They’ve just been repeating the same cycle over and over. Everton have been on a downward cycle since Manchester United actually took David Moyes off them, and it’ll be interesting to see can Moyes bring the good times back to the club. They have an excellent new stadium to look forward to; they were a European side under Moyes and you never know, maybe he could get them to have a decent run at the Europa Conference League in a few seasons like he managed at West Ham. We have one of the most open betting heats of the weekend here.
Everton come into the game as the favourites at 2.64 with Manchester United 3.05 and the draw is 3.3 at the time of writing. It’s been a long time since Everton started as favourites against United – they’ve been involved in relegation battles recently but they have built up some excellent momentum under Moyes. The price is likely more to do with just how poor United have been though – Ruben Amorim has his hands full, and we saw the first signs during the week that the players are preparing to throw him under the bus. We are starting to see the old “dressing room isn’t sure about the system” headlines – in my opinion Amorim has been too honest with the UK media, just like Ralf Rangnick was and we all know how the United squad treated him. It’s hard to have any faith in United at the moment, and at 3.05 they make no appeal at all. We should have an open and entertaining game here, Everton have been creating a lot more lately and obviously United have been quite open too. This is a game for small stakes in my opinion, but Both Teams To Score looks a nice option to start the day at 1.97.

ARSENAL V WEST HAM
3pm We have a hectic afternoon with five fixtures kicking off at 3pm. There’s no doubt that Arsenal hosting West Ham is the most interesting fixture – even if Arsenal are the red-hot favourites. Arsenal fans would have been glued to the Aston Villa v Liverpool game on Wednesday night; has the door opened on the title race again? Darwin Nunez had a glorious chance to win it for Liverpool but fluffed his line so Arne Slot’s men had to accept a 2-2 draw. That Nunez chance actually had an xG of 0.89 which is higher than a penalty! It’s a fascinating weekend in the title battle now; a win here for Arsenal could see them five points behind and then Liverpool are away to Manchester City on Super Sunday. If Liverpool lose there, and then Arsenal win the game in hand things could easily get a very entertaining in the title race. As I said in my preview of Aston Villa v Liverpool; this week was always a huge test in the title race – Liverpool have definitely left the door open again, but they could also go a long way to closing it with a win at City. From an Arsenal point of view, they just need to keep winning games and hope Liverpool drop points.
As I said above, Arsenal come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.28 with West Ham 13.0 and the draw is 6.6 at the time of writing. On paper, pulled off a huge coup when Graham Potter agreed to join – I’m sure they knew his answer before pulling the trigger and sacking Julen Lopetegui. Potter hasn’t had an immediate effect in results though, like we have had with Everton and David Moyes. The Hammers have been exceptionally poor at the back for a while now, and that will take time to fix – Potter doesn’t quite have the same scale of job as Ruben Amorim at Manchester United for example, but he does need time. It’s hard to see how West Ham can cope with this Arsenal side though, especially when they have seemingly found their mojo again. I expect a comfortable win for Arsenal here, and for me there are two options – Both Teams Not To Score at 1.7 which is essentially an Arsenal clean sheet in my opinion or Arsenal to cover the 1.5 goal handicap at 1.83. I like both bets, and with the volume of chances West Ham are conceding, I’m happy to go with Arsenal to cover the handicap.

Two points win Arsenal -1.5 goals to beat West Ham at 1.83 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE

ASTON VILLA V CHELSEA
5.30pm We finish Saturday in the Premier League with another cracker as Aston Villa host Chelsea. We have a very open betting heat here – indeed it’s the most open betting heat of the weekend! There’s only a handful of ticks between the sides, Chelsea come into the game as the marginal favourites at 2.68 with Aston Villa 2.74 and the draw is 3.8 at the time of writing. Aston Villa were involved in midweek action with a dramatic 2-2 draw here against Liverpool – as I said above, Darwin Nunez had a massive chance to win it but fluffed his lines. That result means it’s been five Premier League games without a win for Villa, but they have bumped into Arsenal and Liverpool in that run. The disappointing results came against West Ham, Wolves and Ipswich though. While Villa have clearly struggled to get over the line in games recently, the same can be said about Chelsea. More dropped points last weekend with a 3-0 loss to Brighton means they’ve only managed two wins from their last nine Premier League games – those wins came at home to West Ham and Wolves. Just when we were starting to include them in the title race too!
I have to say I was surprised to see Chelsea as the marginal favourites when I clicked into the market. I know you can easily build a strong case to be against either side here, but I felt Villa would be the favourites with home advantage – the massive negative with Villa this season is they haven’t been able to create good quality chances. Their average xG created is only 1.39 – that’s the seventh worst attacking figure in the Premier League and it’s easy to see why they haven’t been in the race for the European spots this season. This is actually a massive game in that regard with Chelsea four points ahead of Villa coming into the weekend sitting in sixth – a loss here for Villa would likely go a long way to meaning no European football next season. I have to say it’s hard to have a lot of faith in either side with their current run of form, it’s easy to understand why we have such an open market too, and the best value option here is a small bet on the draw in my opinion – that’s an attractive price at 3.8 in what should be a close game.
