ARSENAL V NOTTINGHAM FOREST

12.30pm The Premier League is back with a bang on Betdaq Betting Exchange this weekend! We have a bumper Saturday ahead with a massive eight fixtures to enjoy. We had plenty of drama prior to the International Break, and it is a shame that we have an International Break so early into the season to be honest. We’re back with a bang anyway; given the pressure on the fixture list we have no Friday or Monday Night Football this week so we have lots of options on Saturday. We kick off the action with Arsenal hosting Nottingham Forest, and this fixture got a lot more interesting on Tuesday when Nottingham Forest announced Ange Postecoglou as the new manager! It’s going to be absolutely fascinating to see how that works out; from the outside looking in at Nottingham Forest it seems the owner is far too involved but Postecoglou would have had some experience with that at Spurs. A lot of football fans feel he was very hard done by to be let go by Spurs after winning the Europa League, and now he gets a second chance quickly in the Premier League. Forest have big plans, but they massively over-performed last season.

Most times when a side over-performs as much as Nottingham Forest did last season, things can go south quickly as they revert to the mean. The expectations are so much higher, and they struggle to meet them ever again. You could easily point to West Ham after sacking David Moyes when he led them to the Europa Conference League win. Postecoglou has a very tough first fixture anyway away to Arsenal, and it’s no surprise to see the Gunners are the red-hot favourites. Arsenal are trading 1.41 with Nottingham Forest 9.0 and the draw is 5.4 at the time of writing. Arsenal had a setback to their title challenge prior to the International Break losing away to Liverpool, but there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge in the title race this season. Forest have had a rollercoaster start to their season, but they had the seventh worst attacking figure in the Premier League last season. Given Arsenal are so solid and impressive at the back, I feel they can keep a clean sheet on the way to winning here. Both Teams Not To Score looks a nice option at 1.92 to start the day.

WEST HAM V TOTTENHAM

5.30pm We have a bumper afternoon with five games kicking off at 3pm, however as we have eight games throughout the day, we have two late TV slots starting with a London Derby as West Ham host Spurs at 5-30pm. West Ham were under immense pressure after just two games this season; they were massive movers in the relegation market too after losing 3-0 to Sunderland then 5-1 to Chelsea. Things usually move on fast forward in football these days; however I do feel the move was because of their lack of effort on the pitch rather than anything else. There were plenty of red flags; however a 3-0 win away to Nottingham Forest before the International Break steadied the ship nicely. That result actually had a bigger reaction at Forest as Ange Postecoglou got the Forest job this week! It’ll be interesting to see how West Ham perform here; Spurs have done the opposite of West Ham this season. A very positive start including a 2-0 win away to Manchester City, then they went into the International Break with a very disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Bournemouth. That is classic Spurs, you might say!

We have an interesting betting heat here, and I’m sure there will be some big opinions either side of the book. Spurs come into the game as the 2.18 favourites with West Ham 3.55 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. West Ham finished last season with some very alarming under-lining numbers – in the bottom five for attacking figures and defensive figures. I know Spurs have a tonne of issues – when do they not – but I wouldn’t be rushing to lay them here at 2.18. The massive negative from a Spurs point of view here is the volume of chances they have conceded this season, and I feel this game screams goals. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.82 and Both Teams To Score is a little lower at 1.69. I couldn’t put anyone off either to bet to be honest, however the Overs options offers a lot more value at a bigger price in my opinion. At 1.82, it’s worth a confident bet in what should be a very open game with plenty of chances at both ends of the pitch.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.82 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE

BRENTFORD V CHELSEA

8pm We have Saturday night football to enjoy this week as Brentford host Chelsea. This should be a cracking end to the day, and we have an interesting market too. As you would expert, Chelsea come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.8 with Brentford 5.0 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. Brentford are definitely under pressure at the start of the season; they have been one of the movers in the relegation market. They managed a 1-0 win here against Aston Villa, but they were totally outplayed and very lucky to get the win. Villa had 76% possession and finished the game with an xG of 1.81 while Brentford created less than 1.0. Obviously the loss away to Sunderland before the International Break was a big blow, especially if they get dragged into the relegation battle. After everyone has played three games, Brentford have the worst attacking figure which isn’t a good sign – even this early into this season – I can see why punters have been keen to back them for relegation. Chelsea meanwhile have been ticking their boxes nicely. They would have been disappointed with the opening draw at home to Palace, but since then it’s been plain sailing.

We should learn a lot about Chelsea between now and the next International Break. They have to play Manchester United away and then play the likes of Brighton and Liverpool with home advantage while having to juggle some massive Champions League fixtures. They meet Bayern Munich next week for example – we should see if they can live with Liverpool and Arsenal this season. For the time being though, the 1.8 looks cracking value on a Chelsea win here. Brentford look there for the taking to be honest, and I was surprised to see Chelsea as big as 1.8. Chelsea have been creating a lot at the start of the season – their average xG figure is 1.74 after their opening three games, compared that to Brentford as they only club with an average under 1.0. Brentford have been conceding a lot of chances too, so we know Chelsea will get plenty of opportunities here. I feel we’re getting so much value on Chelsea at 1.8 that they are worth a Five Star NAP to finish the day!

Five points win Chelsea to beat Brentford at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
