PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY: The Striker previews a massive Saturday in the Premier League focusing on Leeds v Tottenham, Manchester United v Sunderland and Chelsea v Liverpool. All include recommended BETDAQ bet’s.
LEEDS V TOTTENHAM
12.30pm We have a fascinating Saturday from the Premier League on Betdaq Betting Exchange! We have a huge amount of talking points on Saturday; undoubtedly Chelsea hosting Liverpool in the evening is the highlight fixture of the weekend. However before we get there, we have a very open betting heat between Leeds and Spurs, and of course all the pressure Ruben Amorim is under at Manchester United as they host Sunderland. We should have a cracking day ahead, and we kick things off with Leeds and Spurs. As I said, we have a very open betting heat – Spurs are the favourites at 2.58 with Leeds 2.94 and the draw is 3.6. It’s been a rollercoaster ten days for Spurs; on reflection it’s been a disappointing run with three draws but as we all know, there’s never a dull moment with Spurs. They were 2-0 down against Brighton to finish 2-2, had to settle for a 1-1 here last weekend against Wolves but the equaliser came in injury time, and then they found themselves down again midweek in the Champions League only to come back and draw 2-2 against Bodo/Glimt. Aside from the Brighton result – you’d take a draw away from home there – the last two fixtures are games Spurs should be winning. Classic Spurs!
Leeds will be reasonably pleased with their start to the season. We have seen the promoted sides really struggle to stay up in recent years, and they came into the season as one of the favourites for relegation behind Burnley and Sunderland. Eight points from six games is a decent return, but their performance levels could be better. An average xG created of 1.23 is quite poor and towards the bottom of the attacking figures table. Spurs have only got a figure of 1.35, so there’s not a massive amount between the sides here. I would be interested in backing the draw at 3.6, but I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here because this game screams goals. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.98 and I was very surprised to see Overs trading that big when I clicked into the market. Spurs games are getting more open as we go along, and as we know a disaster is never far away at the back with Spurs. I can’t see Leeds sitting back here either given they know Spurs don’t tend to deal with pressure well, especially with their home fans. I feel we’ll get an open and entertaining game here, and I’m happy to take the 1.98 on Overs.

MANCHESTER UNITED V SUNDERLAND
3pm It’s not quite a hectic Saturday this week with only two fixtures kicking off at 3pm. We have two big home favourites; Arsenal will be fully expected to win against the struggling West Ham so I’m happy to focus on Manchester United hosting Sunderland. Once again we have a fascinating situation at Old Trafford. Rumours were all over social media that Ruben Amorim only had three games to save his job – that started off superbly for him with a win over Chelsea, but then we had a shocking performance away to Brentford last weekend. It was classic Manchester United though wasn’t it – the players turn up for the big game and then throw in a stinker in the game that they are expected to win. That has been the case for many years at United, and once again it looks like we’ll change the manager before changing anything else. No doubt we’ll be having the same conversation about the new manager, if that happens, in a few months’ time. Once again, this is a game that United will be expected to win – the kind of game that they should boss but they are really struggling to convert their chances.
It’s not a surprise that United come into this as the odds on favourites, but it does take a brave punter to back United at odds on these days. I felt they offered good value last weekend, but that backfired and we have a similar situation here in the sense that it’s a game they are expected to win. Manchester United are trading 1.54 with Sunderland 6.8 and the draw is 4.8 at the time of writing. Sunderland have made an excellent start to the season, morale must be sky high at the moment given they were odds on for relegation this season. Eleven points from six games is massive for them, however there are some red flags. They have over-performed in front of goal; they have the third worst attacking figure and they have leaked a lot of chances and goals. They are in the bottom four on defensive figures. As I said, this is a game United should win but you cannot trust them. I prefer to stay in the goals market; Over 2.5 goals is 1.69 and that looks a very nice position given all the mistakes United make at the back and the chances Sunderland concede.

Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE

CHELSEA V LIVERPOOL
5.30pm We finish Saturday with the highlight of the weekend in the Premier League! Chelsea host Liverpool in what should be a cracker; dare I say it’s a must win game for Chelsea at the moment given they have put in back-to-back losses. Any talk of them challenging for the title is nearly gone now; they start the weekend seven points behind Liverpool already. Arne Slot’s men have had a difficult week too; they tasted their first defeat of the Premier League season last weekend away to Crystal Palace and then lost again midweek in the Champions League away to Galatasaray. Obviously they have another very difficult away fixture here; this could be the weekend that Arsenal close that two point gap. It’s fair to say that Liverpool haven’t been playing their best football this season, but they have been finding a way to win. If you took away the injury time goals we could be having a very different conversation about Liverpool at the start of the season, but isn’t that what the top sides do – win when they’re not at their best! It’ll be interesting how open Liverpool want to make this game; the market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.59.
We have a reasonably open match odds market – Liverpool are the favourites at 2.38 with Chelsea 3.1 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. Looking at the under-lining numbers, Liverpool have been playing the better football this season but that’s not a surprise – their attacking figure on xG is 1.69 compared to Chelsea at 1.51. Chelsea have also conceded more chances. Liverpool have a good recent record against Chelsea; they have been very tough to beat. Obviously Chelsea won 3-1 here last season, but that game came at an exceptionally good time for Chelsea as Liverpool were in party mode after winning the Premier League. We had videos of Arne Slot from Ibiza and the players in Dubai in between fixtures. If you take away that game, Liverpool have won the last three meetings and they are unbeaten in the seven games prior to that. We’ve actually had a lot of draws in this fixture too; again if you take away the fixture last season when the title was won – seven of the last ten meetings have ended in a draw. That is a tempting bet here at 3.85, but I much prefer the Chelsea lay at 3.1 to also have the Liverpool win on our side here.

Two points lay (liability) Chelsea to beat Liverpool at 3.1 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
