SUNDAY FA CUP: The Striker previews the FA Cup third round clashes between MANCHESTER CITY v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN and ARSENAL v LIVERPOOL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER CITY V HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
2pm It’s another busy day in the FA Cup Third Round on BETDAQ Betting Exchange on Sunday! All eyes will be on Arsenal v Liverpool later in the day, and we also have the shortest price of the Third Round as we start the day with Manchester City hosting Huddersfield Town. City are trading as short as 1.06 at the time of writing which is the shortest price I’ve seen this season outside of International football. Huddersfield are having another difficult season in the Championship, they are currently sitting in the bottom four so they are definitely in the relegation battle again but they should manage to stay up again in my opinion. There’s a huge gulf in class between the sides though, and Pep Guardiola could rest all of his best XI here and still win comfortably. Obviously with City trading so short in the match odds market, the focus here is going to have to be on the side markets and how many goals City can score rather than will they win. If City fail to win here, it would be one of the biggest FA Cup shocks! Does the Magic of the Cup even stretch that far!?
City have a hectic schedule coming up, so it’s fair to expect some changes here. Guardiola might not change the whole starting XI, but I would expect a lot of changes. Huddersfield have one of the lowest average xG figures in the Championship, their average created is just 1.06 which puts them in the bottom five in terms of attacking. Their position in the table isn’t a surprise, and they shouldn’t cause City many problems going forward here. Huddersfield are also in the bottom five at the back in the Championship too; not good stats to bring into Man City away! I feel City can run riot here, and the 1.62 on City -3 goals looks very nice value on the Asian Handicap. Stakes void if they win by exactly three goals, but I feel they can really flex their muscles here; it wouldn’t be a surprise to see five or six go in.
The Striker Says:
Three points win Manchester City -3 goals Asian Handicap to beat Huddersfield Town at 1.62 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ARSENAL V LIVERPOOL
4.30pm We finish Sunday with the highlight of the Third Round as Arsenal host Liverpool. It wasn’t so long ago these two clashed in a top of the table Premier League clash that was going to have a big impact on the title race. A 1-1 draw was the best result for Manchester City in the end, but since then things have gone wrong for Arsenal. They put back-to-back losses together against West Ham and Fulham – two sides they should be beating too – and now Liverpool have a five point advantage over Arsenal as they sit top of the table. That’s not even mentioned Manchester City who remain favourites for the title. It will be very interesting to see what kind of starting XI’s we get here; both sides are well known for resting players in the Cups. This should be no different really given their hectic schedule. Liverpool are in the Semi-Finals of the Carabao Cup next week, they are favourites to lift that plus they are also favourites for the Europa League too. I have to say, it will be fascinating to see the team news when it comes out, how many players do the managers feel they can rest, and we should see some big movement in the market. Fastest fingers first when we see the team news!
Arsenal come into the game as favourites. The home win is trading 2.1 at the time of writing with Liverpool 3.6 and the draw is 3.9 at the time of writing. Obviously home advantage is a big factor if we do have weakened sides, and you’d also have to say Klopp probably has a bigger history of resting players in the FA Cup. We have had some crazy young starting XI’s from Klopp in the FA Cup! It’s definitely hard to have a confident bet without seeing the team news, and I would recommend keeping stakes low. We have two of the best attacking sides in the Premier League here, and with changes expected I don’t see them being as solid at the back as usual. Over 2.5 goals makes a lot of appeal at 1.67. I really fancied goals when the sides met in the Premier League but we finished one short of Over 2.5 goals there – I feel we’ll see a far more open and attacking game here. Neither side will want to sit back here and there should be no fear, I’d be surprised if we didn’t see goals.
The Striker Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.67 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
