MANCHESTER UNITED V ARSENAL

4.30pm We might only have one fixture for Super Sunday from the Premier League on Betdaq Betting Exchange, but it’s an absolute cracker as Manchester United host Arsenal. You just know that when these two clash there will be plenty of drama and talking points. Both clubs come into this game in completely different places too, since Wenger left Arsenal have gone through a very tough period but Arteta is turning that around. Now it’s Manchester United that are going through a tough period and to be honest there doesn’t seem to be a way out for them at the moment.

Erik ten Hag comes into this game under immense pressure. United were embarrassed again with a 4-0 hammering on Monday night against Crystal Palace. Their average xG conceded this season is a whopping 1.72 which is the fourth worst defensive figure in the Premier League. Only Sheffield United, West Ham and Luton Town have conceded more chances. As Jamie Carragher said on Monday Night Football, they are playing at a relegation standard. I highlighted this on Monday night that while they sit in eighth now things could be much worse. Their actual goals conceded average works out at 1.5 so they have been getting away with things at the back.

David Moyes has West Ham up the table but their average xG conceded figure is woeful too, and he is now leaving at the end of the season. It will be fascinating to see what United do with ten Hag – the reality is how many managers can United go through? Arsenal had all this drama with Arteta but they backed the manager, changed the squad, brought in the players he wanted to fit into his system and now they are challenging for the title. Their average xG conceded of just 0.92 this season which is the best defensive figure in the Premier League.

It’s a sign of the times with Manchester United to see Arsenal come into this game as the red-hot favourites. I’ve actually never clicked into a market from Old Trafford and seen Arsenal trading so short! Arsenal are 1.42 with Manchester United 7.8 and the draw is 5.8 at the time of writing. Although that is a very short price on Arsenal from a historical point of views, times have changed. United have been all over the place at the back this season and now they face one of the best sides in the Premier League. It’s likely that United will try go toe-to-toe with Arsenal too and they’ll just get picked off on the counter again.

While I wouldn’t recommend the 1.42 on Arsenal myself, it is hard to see past them. They’ve just been playing at a different level to United this season. Over 2.5 goals is trading within two ticks of the Arsenal price at 1.4, and that’s another appealing bet. It’s hard to see Unders winning when United are so open! I feel Arsenal can do a number on United here, and we might actually see a result that could see a reaction to the manager situation too. Any Other Away Win (Arsenal to score four or more and win) is trading 3.85 in the Correct Score market and with the way United have been defending this season, I fancy a small bet at those odds.
