FULHAM V ARSENAL

2pm It’s the final day of 2023, and we have two Premier League fixtures to enjoy on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. Both games have an early kick off time so everyone can enjoy New Years Eve later. Arsenal and Spurs are both back in action after being involved in games on Thursday night and losing, and yet again we have two very interesting markets. We start the action with Fulham hosting Arsenal. David Moyes had gone to the Emirates 22 times without winning before Thursday night, but he finally got a win as West Ham beat Arsenal 2-0, and then he got a new two-year contract offer on Friday! Arsenal finished the game with a very high xG figure and won’t be unhappy with their performance, but they didn’t take their chances at the end of the day and it was a big blow in the title race. With Liverpool and Manchester City playing such good football this season, they cannot afford to drop points at home. I have to say West Ham have been one of the most remarkable sides this season; based on stats alone they are the third worst side at the back with an average xG conceded of 1.68 but they went into sixth after beating Arsenal!

This is another game that Arsenal will be expected to win on paper, and they definitely need a bounce back win. They come into the game as the odds on favourites; the Gunners are trading 1.59 at the time of writing with Fulham 6.0 and the draw is 4.6. Fulham come into this game in poor form; they’ve put three losses together against Newcastle, Burnley and Bournemouth – hardly the most dangerous fixture list. Their average xG conceded is creeping up too but in fairness to them most of their poor overall stats are effected by their away form. At home, they have been creating a lot more than they are conceding. Arsenal have been overall impressive this season but it’s hard to make the case that they should be a lot shorter than their current 1.59. With Fulham creating some good chances at home and Arsenal being so good going forward, Over 2.5 goals looks a nice option here at 1.78. I’d expect a pretty entertaining end-to-end game to enjoy.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.78 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

TOTTENHAM V BOURNEMOUTH

2pm Spurs host Bournemouth kicking off at the same time, and this is another very interesting market! Spurs lost 4-2 against Brighton on Thursday night and they face a Bournemouth side who have the wind behind their sails at the moment! Bournemouth have put together four wins in a row, and three of them have come away from home too. Not only that but they are unbeaten in seven Premier League games with six wins and a draw against Aston Villa. It’s no wonder that we have Spurs trading 1.85 which might seem pretty high to the casual football fan; Bournemouth are 4.1 and the draw is 4.6 at the time of writing. Everything about this game screams an entertaining affair in my opinion. Spurs have been playing a very open game since Ange Postecoglou took over – heir average xG created is still in the top three in the Premier League but they are conceding a lot of chances too. Bournemouth have been playing an open game as well. Their average xG conceded is quite high at 1.58 but this has been countered by the fact that they are creating an average of 1.45. I know that they are still conceding more than they are creating, but Bournemouth would have been spoken about as possible relegation candidates at the start of the season; they are nowhere near that now.

Bournemouth’s average chances created only works out a little lower than the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa. I don’t have a strong opinion on the match odds here, but I really like Over 2.5 goals at 1.44. I feel the game absolutely screams goals, and I would have Overs shorter than 1.4; I’m aware it’s still a short price as the market is expecting goals here. But I still feel there’s a lot of value in the odds at 1.44. It’s actually hard not to see goals here given the way both sides play, and we should have a very end-to-end and attacking game of football. The only decision for me Is what stake to have on the Overs! Nine of the last ten Premier League Spurs games have had Over 2.5 goals, and the other game was a 2-0 win for Spurs over Nottingham Forest, while for Bournemouth five of their last six have finished with Overs; again the loser was a 2-0 win for them over Crystal Palace. At 1.44, I feel Over 2.5 goals is worth a Max Bet to finish 2023 in style.

The Striker Says:
Five points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.44 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
