ASTON VILLA V MANCHESTER UNITED

2pm We have a fascinating Super Sunday from the Premier League on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week! Aston Villa took all the headlines midweek with a fantastic win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League. The two Europa League sides are back in action and they’re both away from home – we have two markets today where we’ll have plenty of big opinions on the prices. We kick off the day with Aston Villa hosting Manchester United! These two clubs couldn’t be further apart at the moment – Aston Villa just had one of their best nights of football while Manchester United were embarrassed again last weekend at Old Trafford with a 3-0 loss to Spurs. Obviously it didn’t help that they went down to ten men in the first half, but they were all over the place before the Bruno Fernandes red card (which has been overturned on appeal). Once again, Erik ten Hag faces all the questions of his side not having an identity or a system – but the reality is this squad have downed tools a number of times until multiple managers now. In football the players never really get the blame, but it seems obvious that there are issues with the mentality of this United squad.

Aston Villa come into the game as the favourites at 2.36 with Manchester United 3.1 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. United had an absolute rollercoaster in the first half on Thursday night taking a 2-0 lead before throwing it away to be 2-2 at HT! Say what you want about this United side – and there are some very strong opinions – it’s never a dull watch with them anyway! The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.65 and Both Teams To Score is a few ticks shorter at 1.56. Villa have been over-performing in front of goal this season, their average xG created is 1.28 but they are averaging two goals per game at the moment. They are also conceding more goals than they should, while that average xG conceded for United is creeping up – they had the fourth worst defensive figure last season so that’s a worrying sign! As I said above, it’s never dull with this United side and we should have an entertaining game here. I couldn’t put anyone off Villa at 2.36 but I like Both Teams To Score at 1.56 as the best option.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.56 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE

BRIGHTON V TOTTENHAM

4.30pm We finish Super Sunday with what should be a very entertaining game as Brighton host Spurs. Both sides start the weekend sitting right beside each other in the table – Spurs with ten points and Brighton just below them on nine. While Spurs have dropped a few points already, they have actually been one of the top performers in the Premier League this season. Their average xG created is 1.99 – only Manchester City have been creating more chances. They’ve also been very impressive at the back too; their average xG conceded of 0.98 is the second best defensive figure this season. I know they are a few points off the Top Four, but Spurs are certainly playing like a Top Four side. Brighton have very promising under-lining numbers too; but they have never really lived up to their performance levels in terms of points. Brighton have an averaging xG created of 1.58 which puts them in the top six attacking sides this season, and they also have a defensive figure in the top three. They really should have more points than they do, but Brighton have a habit of conceding sloppy goals – so do Spurs to be fair, and that’s why we should have an entertaining game here.

Spurs come into the game as favourites at 2.3 with Brighton 3.0 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. The market is very keen on goals here, and in fairness everything points to goals to be honest. Both Teams To Score is trading as short as 1.41 with Over 2.5 goals at the same price. The last three meetings between the sides have finished with Over 2.5 goals, but it hasn’t all been good for Overs backers – only four of the last eight meetings have actually had Over 2.5 goals. Both sides can be described as untrustworthy at the back, but they do have very positive defensive figures. I’m not going to go crazy with stakes here, but Under 3.5 goals is worth backing at 1.93 – I know both sides are prone to mistakes at the back so I’m going to keep stakes low. We have two of the top three sides on defensive figures here meeting, and I just feel the market is expecting goals a little too much here so there’s some value in going against the crowd with Unders.

The Striker Says:
One point win Under 3.5 goals at 1.93 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
