PREMIER LEAGUE: The Striker previews MANCHESTER UNITED v BOURNEMOUTH and TOTTENHAM v LIVERPOOL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER UNITED V BOURNEMOUTH
2pm It’s the last Premier League day before Christmas, and we have a busy Super Sunday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! Four fixtures kick off at 2pm, but obviously the highlight of the day in Spurs hosting Liverpool in the prime TV slot. While we have some very interesting markets at 2pm, the pick of action in my opinion is Manchester United hosting Bournemouth. United were involved in another very dramatic game midweek when losing 4-3 to Spurs; it was Spurs that made it dramatic though with two goalkeeper howlers when leading 3-0. Ruben Amorim has had another difficult week in the media with the Rashford situation, but I have to say he seems to be handling it brilliantly – the writing looks on the wall for Rashford though who seems to want to leave. United fans haven’t been happy with his work rate for a while, and given the Amorim press tactic it feels like Rashford isn’t keen to put in the hard yards. It will be interesting to see where he goes; PSG seems to be the best option for him but obviously Ligue 1 is a pretty low standard. It would be a surprise if he went to a major European club.
Bournemouth will be hoping to take full advantage of this period of change for United. They’ve been having a great season – they come into this weekend sitting up in sixth place and you can’t say they don’t deserve it either. They have the fifth best attacking figure in the Premier League! Their games have been very entertaining with chances at both ends of the pitch, and with United scoring and conceding goals for fun we should have another entertaining game here. United come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.9 with Bournemouth 4.3 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. Given Bournemouth are creating more than United this season and the fact that Nottingham Forest were able to beat United here recently, I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 1.9 on a home win. I’m happy to stay out of the match odds market here because this game screams Over 2.5 goals in my opinion – that’s trading 1.64 and I was very surprised to see it trading so high when I clicked into the market. I feel we’re getting so much value here it’s worth a Five Star NAP!

TOTTENHAM V LIVERPOOL
4.30pm The Premier League have saved the best fixture until last this weekend as Spurs host Liverpool in the prime Super Sunday TV slot. The two sides came through their Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals midweek, and they will meet in the Semi-Final with the first leg in early January. This should be a cracking game – there’s always drama with Spurs! As I mentioned above, they were in full control of the game against United on Thursday night at 3-0 only for two howlers to make it 3-2. Never a dull moment for Spurs fans! Ange Postecoglou poked fun at the Sky Sports studio afterwards saying that they would have been in meltdown; but the reality is Spurs have so many head in hands moments! Postecoglou has to keep going with his football beliefs however; Spurs still have the second highest attacking figure in the Premier League this season. Something “Spursy” is never far away, but it feels like he has them on the right path – look how many years it took Arteta to challenge for a title with Arsenal, and even then they still came up short. Liverpool are challenging for the title this season – a little unexpected given Klopp left but Arne Slot has them playing some superb football.
Liverpool come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.77 with Tottenham 4.5 and the draw is 4.6 at the time of writing. This game absolutely screams goals, and it’s no surprise to see Over 2.5 goals trading as short as 1.33 – Both Teams To Score is only a couple of ticks higher at 1.39, and there isn’t much value in those prices even though this game does screams an open affair. It’s just hard to trust Spurs at the back at the moment – it always feels like a mistake is coming with them! As I mentioned above though, they have been creating a lot. Over 3.5 goals is definitely an interesting bet at 1.8 but it’s only three ticks bigger than the Liverpool win, and in my opinion the Liverpool win offers more value. Arne Slot has Liverpool very solid at the back, and with two excellent attacking sides here I feel that will be the difference – we’ll see less mistakes from Liverpool, and that will get them over the line in what should be a very entertaining game.
