FULHAM V LIVERPOOL

2pm It’s a cracking Super Sunday from the Premier League on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! There’s no doubt that all eyes will be on the Manchester Derby in the prime time TV slot later, but we kick off the day with three fixtures at 2pm, and the pick of them is Fulham hosting the Champions-in-waiting Liverpool. As I said in my preview of the Arsenal game on Saturday, there are only a handful of Arsenal fans left that actually believe this gap can be closer – 99.9% of Premier League fans expect Arne Slot’s men to be lifting the title! This should be a good test for Liverpool though; there are plenty of willing layers given how good Fulham have been playing this season – plus we all know they really enjoy playing at home too. The biggest improvement for Fulham this season has been their away performance levels, which is they have an outside chance at a Europa Conference League spot – although unlikely. Liverpool come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.9 with Fulham 4.6 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. I have to say, I didn’t expect to see Liverpool trading as high as 1.9 when I clicked into the market.

I wasn’t expecting to see them trading as the red-hot favourites, but the 1.9 definitely feels a little big here. Liverpool have comfortably been the best side in the Premier League this season – their average xG created is 1.92 compared to Fulham at 1.52. Their average xG conceded is a top three defensive figure at 1.17 compared to Fulham sitting at 1.33. You have to give Fulham credit because they have been playing some very solid football this season, but there are levels between the sides here and I’d have Liverpool at least ten ticks shorter than the 1.9. We should have an entertaining game too; Fulham have generally struggled to keep clean sheets here; Over 2.5 goals is trading four ticks shorter than the Liverpool win at 1.86 and Both Teams To Score is ten ticks shorter than Liverpool at 1.8. I actually couldn’t put anyone off either of the goal option – I do feel we’ll see an open and entertaining game here. However, from a value point of view I can’t get away from the Liverpool price at 1.9. I feel we’re getting enough value at 1.9 for a Five Star NAP to start Super Sunday!

MANCHESTER UNITED V MANCHESTER CITY

4.30pm There’s no doubt what the highlight fixture is this week as we have the Manchester Derby to end Super Sunday! Both clubs have had very disappointing seasons thus far – City have been a shadow of themselves; you could say the same thing about United for years though. United’s season in the Premier League has been over for a while now – their main focus has to be on the Europa League where they play a Quarter-Final next week. This is a much bigger game for City given the situation in the Top Four race. As I said in my Saturday Premier League preview, everyone was expecting to see Nottingham Forest drop out of the Top Four but that hasn’t happened. Now the pressure is on Pep Guardiola’s side to hang onto fourth, and let’s be honest – they haven’t handled pressure well this season! We’ve seen plenty of last 15 minute collapses from City this season that we just usually wouldn’t see. Obviously United have been all over the place this season, but this squad generally do turn up for the big games – they beat City 2-1 when the sides met in December. Putting City in a bad position in the Top Four race is plenty of incentive in a Derby too.

It’s not a surprise to see Manchester City come into the game as the favourites at 2.2 with Manchester United 3.45 and the draw is 3.75 at the time of writing. We’ve seen enough from United this season to not support them; but at times this season they have offered some value in my opinion. The squad generally up their game in the big games, and City have been much too easy to play through this season. I would definitely lean towards a small City lay in the match odds market – the 2.2 looks on the short side given the season they are having. That being said, obviously supporting United this season has to come with a wealth warning. The market is expecting goals with Over 2.5 goals trading 1.73, and Both Teams To Score is 1.62. It’s hard not to see goals here to be honest – both sides have made far too many mistakes at the back this season. I can’t see either of them sitting back either; United have nothing to lose, so we should see an open game. I wouldn’t put anyone off the City lay, but from a value point of view the best option in my opinion is Over 2.5 goals at the odds in what should be an entertaining game.
