PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: The Striker previews LEEDS v MANCHESTER UNITED and MANCHESTER CITY v CHELSEA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
LEEDS V MANCHESTER UNITED
12.30pm It’s the first Super Sunday of 2026, and we have a cracker on Betdaq Betting Exchange! There’s no doubt that Manchester City v Chelsea will take all the headlines this weekend – especially after Enzo Maresca left this week too; however we begin earlier than usual with a fascinating fixture as Leeds host Manchester United. The drama around this United squad continued midweek when they could only draw 1-1 at home to Wolves – once again United struggle in a game that they should win. After the general vibes around the team being very positive recently; they faced huge criticism for their performance level – basically defending too much against a side who haven’t won all season. The reality remains that you just don’t know what type of performance you’re going to get from this United squad – they throw in an absolute stinker from nowhere. Home games have been a consistent problem for United though; there was the 1-0 loss to a ten man Everton side, then the 1-1 draw with West Ham shortly afterwards. The 4-4 draw with Bournemouth followed that. Just because they playing very poorly midweek, I actually wouldn’t expect a poor performance here.
From a betting point of view, it does make it difficult to rate this United side. That’s reflected in the market here as we have an exceptionally open betting heat. Manchester United are the favourites at 2.7 with Leeds 2.84 and the draw is 3.6 at the time of writing. Leeds have done very well recently, and they’ve given themselves a nice seven point cushion on the relegation zone. They grinded out a draw away to Liverpool midweek, which is a complete bonus point and that extended their unbeaten run to six Premier League games. Leeds games have been entertaining this season; that 0-0 was only their second this season and I feel we’ll see goals here. Despite all their woes, United actually have the best attacking figure in the Premier League this season. They are still sloppy at the back though, and Leeds have created plenty this season. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.89 and Both Teams To Score is 1.71 – I couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest, but I marginally prefer Over 2.5 goals in what should be an entertaining game. I’m happy with a confident bet to start the day!
The Striker Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.89 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

MANCHESTER CITY V CHELSEA
5.30pm We finish Super Sunday with undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend as Manchester City host Chelsea. This kick off is a little later than our usual Super Sunday slot as we have four games kicking off at 3pm too. This fixture was made far more interesting when Enzo Maresca and Chelsea parted ways this week. Obviously there are always two sides to the story – Chelsea’s side is he was generally unprofessional and disrespectful. Enzo Maresca’s side was he didn’t have full control over his starting XI. You can see why that would turn a situation toxic with a manager though, and the reality from a Chelsea point of view now is they will have had seven managers in five years. In that period, they won a Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup too which is outrageous really to have that many managers. They aren’t too far away from becoming like Spurs! Obviously there was a lot of issues going on behind the scenes, but Chelsea were playing OK football – at one stage they looked like the main challengers to Arsenal this season. That was almost the peak, because the minute that conversation started is when they started dropping points.
They’ve only had one win in their last seven Premier League games, and if there was fighting in-house over starting XI’s etc, that’s going to turn toxic fast. It’ll be very interesting to see what type of performance level we get from the players here; it’s been hard to tell whether he had the backing of the dressing room. City have put themselves under pressure again in the title race when dropping points away to Sunderland on Thursday night; they really can’t afford to be dropping points like that against this top class Arsenal side! Pep Guardiola’s side come into this game as the odds on favourites at 1.69 with Chelsea 5.0 and the draw is 4.7 at the time of writing. Chelsea have been very sloppy at the back recently, and they’ve conceded six goals in their last three games. I’m going to keep stakes small here because of the change at Chelsea, but we should see an open and end-to-end game here – Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.55 and I’m happy to have a small position.
The Striker Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 1.55 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
