SUNDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: The Striker previews Sunday’s two games between ASTON VILLA v EVERTON and WEST HAM v CHELSEA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ASTON VILLA V EVERTON
2pm We have a very interesting Super Sunday ahead on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with two favourites that plenty of punters will want to take on. I’m sure all eyes will be on the London Derby as West Ham host Chelsea later in the day, but we kick off the day with Aston Villa hosting Everton. At the time of writing, Aston Villa are trading 1.73, Everton 5.4 and the draw is 4.1. Aston Villa opened their season with a 5-1 hammering at the hands of Newcastle, and I’m sure they will be a reasonably popular lay at the odds. They did have one of the best seasons ever last season after Unai Emery took over, managing to get European football too! When he took over they were closer to the relegation battle than European football. At home this time around, they’ll be hoping to bounce straight back after last weekend. Everton will also be disappointed with their result last weekend; they lost 1-0 at home to Fulham and although they will point to the xG figures and say they were unlucky, they were just out battled really. They have to do better, especially with home advantage.
Sean Dyche definitely came in and made a huge impact on Everton last season, but they put in most of their better performances with home advantage. They still had a lot of issues away from home, and perhaps you can understand the Villa price at 1.73. I have to say that’s a little too short for me, and I wouldn’t recommend backing it. Villa were very impressive at home last season though after Emery came in, so I’m not going to lay it either. The bet I like here is Over 2.5 goals at 1.95. We’ve had Over 2.5 goals in 62% of the matches between these sides in the Premier League, and Villa were pretty open at the back last weekend so I can see Everton scoring at some stage. Although Dyche has a reputation for putting XI men behind the ball from his time at Burnley, he’s actually played very attacking football at Everton. I feel we’ll see a pretty open game here and Overs is the value.
The Striker Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.95 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

WEST HAM V CHELSEA
4.30pm We finish Super Sunday with West Ham hosting Chelsea in a fascinating London Derby. Mauricio Pochettino will be pleased with how his first competitive game in charge of Chelsea went last weekend in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool – of course things could have been very different if they went 2-0 down, but they came back well from having their backs up against the wall. Last season the squad basically downed tools, especially under Lampard. As we saw last season with Manchester United, even if they squad looks like it has attitude problems as a whole, the right manager can turn things around. The big question how for Pochettino is how long he can stop the owner from getting involved! West Ham would have been very disappointed to only draw 1-1 with Bournemouth on the opening weekend, and David Moyes will be hoping that’s not a sign of things to come. They just aren’t going to fill the hole that Declan Rice will leave – that’s just a fact – but at least they won a major European trophy while they had a talent like that at the club.
The major issue for West Ham last season was their away form – they only managed 12 points away from home all season which left just outside the bottom three on the away form table. Judging by the Bournemouth result, away form could be a problem again this season. West Ham are much too good to go down, but you wouldn’t be surprised if they hung around the relegation battle again for a time this season. I feel this is a game for pretty small stakes – you can’t really judge Chelsea on last season because things are so different now. The jury is definitely still out though and Pochettino has a lot of work to do. On balance, I would rather back the 2.08 on Chelsea compared to laying it, but I’m happy to sit out of the match odds market here. Both Teams To Score looks nice value in my opinion at 1.82. West Ham played a very end-to-end game last season – their average xG created was 1.5 and average conceded was 1.6, while Chelsea conceded a lot of sloppy goals. Small stakes on this one, but we should see goals.
The Striker Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.82 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
