BURNLEY V LIVERPOOL

2pm We have a fantastic Super Sunday from the Premier League on Betdaq Betting Exchange! There’s no doubt that all the talking points will come from the Manchester Derby as City host United in the prime time Sunday TV slot later, but we kick off the day with the Champions Liverpool away to Burnley. Liverpool have had the perfect start to their title defence with three wins from three, including a massive 1-0 win over Arsenal prior to the International Break. It’s been a fascinating Outright market because based on performances, Arsenal went favourites over Liverpool given the amount of goals Liverpool were conceding, but the win over Arsenal put them back firmly as favourites. Of course, there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge in the title race this season! Burnley only have one aim this season and that’s to stay in the Premier League; they came into this season as the clear favourites in the relegation battle and that hasn’t changed after everyone played three games. We’ve seen the massive gulf in class between the top flight and the rest in recent years with all the money in the game at the top level, and it’s become exceptionally difficult to stay up. Burnley themselves only know too well!

This is a game that Liverpool will be fully expected to win, and it’s no surprise to see them come into the game as the hot favourites. Liverpool are trading 1.38 with Burnley 9.6 and the draw is 5.8 at the time of writing. Burnley have been conceding a lot of chances in their opening games; they shipped three goals away to Spurs and then Manchester United. Their 2-0 win at home to Sunderland could be key in the relegation battle later on, but the early signs are they are going to struggle massively. Liverpool are just so good in attack, it’s hard to see them not getting the job done here given all the chances Burnley have conceded. I would recommend including Liverpool at 1.38 in any Acca this weekend, but I do feel the goal and handicap markets are more interesting here. Liverpool have been very open at the back in their games this season, and Both Teams To Score is trading 1.94. Over 2.5 goals is 1.59 and that looks a nice bet too, as does Liverpool to cover the 1.5 goal handicap at 1.97. I feel the stand out value bet is Liverpool to cover the handicap; 1.97 looks cracking value to start the day!

MANCHESTER CITY V MANCHESTER UNITED

4.30pm What a fixture for the prime time TV slot on Super Sunday! It’s a Manchester Derby with already so much at stake this season in the season. Both clubs are under intense pressure, and it will be fascinating to see how this one plays out. As you would expect, Manchester City come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.8 with Manchester United 4.6 and the draw is 4.2 at the time of writing. Both sides have a massive seven days ahead, especially for City who start their Champions League campaign during the week too against Napoli before playing Arsenal next weekend. If they don’t win here and lose against Arsenal, most football fans will already be writing them off in the title race. That could be happening already to be honest after two losses from their opening two games. It’s very unlike a Pep Guardiola side to lose at home to Spurs and then away to Brighton from being 1-0 up. We saw the signs last season that City were going through a period of transition, and to be honest after they spent a huge amount of money, it feels like they will struggle again this season. It will actually be very interesting to see how Guardiola handles the pressure – we know the UK media is especially intense.

Ruben Amorim knows how intense things can get with the press already; ironically United have managed more points than City after the opening three games! The win over Burnley was full of drama, and while United were perhaps “lucky” in the end to win it in injury time, once again they created an exceptional amount of chances. After everyone has played three games, United actually had the highest xG figure and have conceded less chances on xG than Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. The problem for United is they seemingly can’t convert those chances, and any time they face some pressure they seem to crumble. While I do feel that this game will be closer than odds of 1.8 suggest on City, the game also screams goals in my opinion. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.6 and Both Teams To Score is 1.62. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest, but I prefer the Both Teams To Score option at 1.62. I’d be surprised if we didn’t get an open and entertaining game here.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.62 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
